Synopsis
In this musical western, Los Hermanos Cubero travel back to their roots in La Alcarria, in central Spain. On the way, the two brothers play songs evoking their vanished homeland. A sensual poem to the art of these musicians’ music and the world captured in their songs, filled with footsteps, silences and intensely personal popular music.
Bio/Filmo
Fernando Pomares studied at ESCAC film school and is currently working on the Cheeky Anna animation series with French animation studios Les Armateurs and Folimage. His short film Alto Sauce (2011) has won several awards. La Muerte en La Alcarria is his first feature film.
