L'Alternativa Parallel
Panorama

Every year l'Alternativa scours Spain for unique films and filmmakers to include in its Panorama section, which showcases a wide range of independent short and feature films being produced (or coproduced) well off the beaten track. We value potential over perfection and look for directors ready and willing to experiment with form and subject matter. Panorama presents original visions by filmmakers pioneering much-needed new ways of working.
Films in the Panorama section compete for the GAC Awards for Best Feature Film Screenplay and Best Short Film Screenplay, awarded by GAC (Guionistes Associats de Catalunya). In addition, one filmmaker will be awarded the Panorama l'Alternativa–Platja d'Aro–Costa Brava Award, which includes a one-week residency at the Hotel Costa Brava, courtesy of l'Alternativa, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board and Platja d’Aro Town Council.
