For over a decade, Xacio Baño has been making finely crafted, highly personal films that have travelled to the leading film festivals worldwide. As part of their Monográficos series, Marvin&Wayne have curated a retrospective to mark the premiere of his debut feature, Trote, screened at l'Alternativa Official this year.

Xacio Baño (Lugo, 1983) studied film at the University of León. He has produced and directed several shorts, including Ser e voltar (2014), which won a Special Mention at l'Alternativa, and Eco (2015). Trote is his debut feature film.
