Synopsis

A sound engineer roves around a town in Cuba disfigured after copying the urban model of US suburbs to record sounds for a future blockbuster where a giant monster destroys a whole town.

Bio/Filmo

Joan Pàmies Lluís (Barcelona, 1995) graduated from the ESCAC, specialising in documentary making. In 2019 he took a workshop with Lav Diaz at the EICTV, Cuba, where he made Blockbuster Where a Giant Monster Destroys a Town. He cowrote the short Adalamadrina (Carlota Oms, 2018), presented at Sundance Festival.
