Bio/Filmo
Mariona Guiu is a documentary and multimedia filmmaker. After graduating in humanities, she studied filmmaking in Madrid, Cuba and Melbourne. For the last ten years, she has worked in TV, documentary and online media, dividing her time between filmmaking and teaching at the University of Melbourne and working on independent film projects in Spain, Australia and Latin America. Her films include It Started in the Sunderland (2018), Singled [Out] (2017), her debut feature, El último verano (2016), the award-winning Distàncies (2010), the short documentary short Las voces pequeñas (2013) and the biopic series Revelados (2008).
