La revolución de las musas

La revolución de las musas is a feature film that experiments with fiction, documentary and animation to give a name to sex workers who never feature in Art History. It stresses their historic role as muses of European great masters and calls for them to be recognised as cocreators.

María Llorente, Juno Álvarez and Yaiza Lamo met on the Master's Degree in Theory and Practice of Creative Documentary Making at the UAB. On the degree course, they drew on their diferent backgrounds in art history, journalism and photography to come up with Diysex, an interactive film that premiered at FICX (Gijón) in 2019 and then went on to l'Alternativa, Mecal, Málaga and Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic).
