Manman Makaya

Synopsis

During a trip to the top of the mystical mountain Macaya, the last natural reserve in Haiti, different characters intertwine to reveal the secrets and conflicts of the land and its people as they struggle to survival.

Bio/Filmo

After taking audiovisual degrees, Miquel Ardèvol and Eric de Gispert teamed up to create their own documentary projects. In 2009 they codirected their first documentary, Tot el que sé, followed by Igloolik, real tale (2015) and Correspondències, dansa i arquitectura (2017). They also work closely with different organisations and institutions, including several national and international contemporary art centres.
