Synopsis
A portrait of Justino, an indigenous widower torn between Manaus, the port city where he works as a security guard, and the call of the Amazon village where he was born. As his daughter prepares to study medicine in Brasília, Justino comes down with a mysterious fever. With an increasingly hypnotic feel, A Febre captures the sometimes suffocating rhythms, repetitions and restrictions of daily life. A powerful drama about longing and place at a time of rapid industrialisation.
