Synopsis

An observation of the evolution of gender relations in Clichy-sous-Bois, the outlying Parisian suburb where riots broke out in 2005.

Bio/Filmo

Rémi Brachet grew up in the southern suburbs of Paris. He first discovered films in the local cinema next to his high school and was soon borrowing piles of DVDs from the public library. After studying social sciences and literature, he went on to study screenwriting at La Fémis. La Fin des rois is his first film since graduating.
