Festival Exchanges

Over the years, l'Alternativa has been invited to a large number of festivals through our Exchanges project, which has created the opportunity to give and receive programmes and promote the Festival's films.

We prepare programmes based on l'Alternativa Official and l'Alternativa Hall from the latest editions of the Festival to be screened at other festivals that share our vision of filmmaking; in return, we invite these festivals to screen programmes of their films at l'Alternativa.

In recent years, we have carried out Exchanges with festivals such as Imago and IndieLisboa (Portugal), Documenta (Madrid), Signes de Nuit (Paris), Open Cinema (Saint Petersburg), Love & Anarchy (Helsinki), Intents (Seville), EMAF. European Media Art Festival (Osnabrück), AFX. Amsterdam Film eXperience (Netherlands), Cork Film Festival (Ireland), INVIDEO (Milan), Festival des cinémas différents et expérimentaux (Paris), VIS. Vienna Independent Shorts (Austria), anim'est (Bucarest), In the Palace (Bulgaria), Alternative Film/Video (Belgrado), Athens Video Dance Project (Greece), MOV. Festival Internacional de Cinema Universitário de Pernambuco (Brasil), Experiments in Cinema (Albuquerque, EE. UU.), Glasgow Short Film Festival (Scotland) and SIFF. Syros International Film Festival (Greece), among others.
