Synopsis

More than 4,000 miners in Asturias go on strike indefinitely in protest at government cuts and organise daily actions: they mount roadblocks, hold sit-ins at 700 m beneath the surface and walk 500 km to Madrid… But now everything has changed… even the survivors of the last workers’ movement. A filmed struggle.

Bio/Filmo

Marcos M. Merino (Gijon, 1973) is a journalist and filmmaker who specialises in economic news on TV. A screenwriter and director’s assistant for several shorts, in April 2011 he began production on ReMine, his first feature, funded mainly out of sales from his #resistenciaminera DVD book.
