Sinopsis
Four-year-old Nana lives in a stone farmhouse out beyond the forest. Back from school one day late in the afternoon, all she finds is silence. Nana is a journey into the night of childhood, touching on life, death and resistance through primal sensations rather than explicit narrative, and perhaps offers a more feminine understanding of the world than a merely intellectual one.
Bio/Filmo
Valérie Massadian first came to make images through photography, notably in the form of slideshow screenings (The Link, Mary Go Round, Journal de Bord) in Tokyo, London and Porto. She worked with Nan Goldin and a number of film directors before making Nana, her debut feature.
