Official Sections
Presentation
In the Official Sections, l'Alternativa aims to showcase a representative selection of independent films from the last two years. We have selected 46 films from all over the world and our goal is to promote new directors and little-known films from the current audiovisual scene.
The selected films compete in three sections:
- Fiction Feature Films
- Nonfiction Feature Films
- Short Films (fiction, animation and documentary)
This year there is €10,500 in cash prizes in total, divided between the different competition sections: €5000 for Best Fiction Feature Film, €3500 for Best Nonfiction Feature Film and €2000 for Best Short Film. In addition, festivalgoers will vote for the Audience Award for Best Short Film.
