Synopsis
The final instalment in Martel's Salta trilogy, La mujer sin cabeza is an intriguing story of a woman who might or might not have killed someone or something in a hit-and-run accident. The film becomes a penetrating exploration of the psyche, class inequality and bourgeois indifference, as well as an incisive meditation on historical memory. “I think there’s a political side to everything on all levels. I’m interested in how this finds expression in the body and the family.” Lucrecia Martel
