Synopsis
A literary or a musical composition formed by selections from different authors arranged in a new order. AI (reverse-engineered from the works of Robbie Barrat and Eric Groszman) was designed to generate the lyrics and music for the film. The visuals were edited by a human. The result: man and machine creating a mathematically perfect 1990s hip-hop music video.
Bio/Filmo
“Since I was a little girl my dream was to star in an experimental film” is (one of) Alexei Dmitriev's favorite statement(s). Born in 1986, he is based in Saint Petersburg. His films include Hermeneutics (2012) and The Shadow of your Smile (2014), both screened at l'Alternativa Hall, and In Between Takes (2017), which even made it to l'Alternativa Official! As a curator he has collaborated with the Vienna Shorts Festival, Directors Lounge Berlin and Punto de Vista (Navarra).
